Modified Honda S2000 AP2

Honda S2000 AP2 (2nd generation of S2000) was launched in 2004 with a modify suspension which reduced the tendency to oversteer. It is equipped with a front-mid-engine, rear wheel drive layout, a 50:50 front/rear weight distribution.

Honda S2000 is equipped with F20C and F22C1 engine which share many attributes with Honda K-series’ engines. It has 2 counter-rotating overhead cams, VTEC for both the intake and exhaust camshaft, carbon-fiber reinforced cylinder liners (FRM), molybdenum disulfide-coated piston skirts which reduced friction, running on chain driven valvetrain. The only 4-cylinder engine from Honda which is mean to fit in a longitudinally for rear wheel drive.

F20C engine – 1997 cc, 240 hp (179kW) at 8300 rpm (European market)

240 hp (180kW) at 8300 rpm (North America)

250 hp (184kW) at 8600 rpm (Japan)

F22C1 engine (only available for S2000 AP2 in North America and Japan markets)

2157cc, 239 hp (178kW) at 8000 rpm
