1.4 liter L13A7 i-DSI (for European model only)  Inline 4, available with 6-speed automated manual I-SHIFT transmission, 93 hp (69 kW)

1.6 liter R16A1 (only available in Singapore) Inline 4 SOHC i-VTEC, 123 hp (92 kW), it has no distributor

1.6 liter R16A2 (only available in Turkey, Egypt)

1.8 liter R18A1 Inline 4 SOHC i-VTEC,  138hp (103 kW), no distributor

2.0 liter K20Z3 Inline 4 DOHC i-VTEC (only operate on the intake cam), 160hp (120 kW),  no spark plug wires and distributor

2.0 liter K20Z2 Inline 4 DOHC i-VTEC (operates on both the intake and exhaust valves),  200hp (only available in Honda Civic Type R and Acura RSX Type-S)

2.2 liter N22A2 (Turbo Diesel, max boost 0.93 bar) Inline 4 DOHC i-CTDi, 140hp with aluminum block

Some interesting facts about Honda Civic 8th Generation

1) Only in Singapore and Egypt, 1.6 liter (R16A1) is available.

2) The 8th Generation Honda Civic Type R 4-door sedan is only available in Japan and Malaysia only.
