Lexus IS (second generation) was launched in 2005 as an entry-level luxury / compact executive cars.

Layout – Front engine, rear-wheel drive / four-wheel drive (only for IS 250 AWD)

Transmission – 6-speed manual (IS 250 only), 6-speed automatic

Engine – Different version of Lexus IS

IS 220d – Engine code : 2AD-FHV, 2.2 liter DOHC Inline-4 (175 hp, 130 kW) diesel engine (only available in Europe and with manual transmission only)

IS 250 – Engine code : 4GR-FSE, 2.5 liter DOHC V6, Dual VVT-i, D-4S direct injection system (204 hp, 153 kW)

IS 250 AWD – Engine code : 4GR-FSE, all wheel drive

IS 300 – Engine code : 3GR-FE, 3.0 liter DOHC V6, Dual VVT-i (228 hp, 170 kW)

IS 350 – Engine code : 2GR-FSE, 3.5 liter DOHC V6, Dual VVT-i, D-4S twin injection system (combination of direct injection and traditional port injection) (306 hp, 228 kW)

IS F – Engine code : 2UR-GSE, 5 liter DOHC V8, Dual VVT-i and VVT-iE on the intake cam, D-4S gasoline direct injection (417 hp, 311 kW)
