Can a 1500cc, CVT a/t latio sport , be enhance with more power, like pick up speed and etc?

What will you advise for the Size of the Rim and tyre size good for latio performance?
Currently my latio come with impul body kits.

by the way, is my first time to own a car.

    Hi David,

It’s always possible to modify your current ride to extract some extra juice out of it:

    Moderate Modifications :
    1) Upgrade your air intake system to those K&N drop in air filter (make sure it sucks in cool air)
    2) Upgrade your exhaust system, perhaps to a sports muffler, but do not change your exhaust system to straight flow, and don’t change your piping to anything wider than 1.8 inch.
    3) and lots more, but it really depends on your budget and expectations.

    Extreme Modifications :
    1) Port and Polish your engine
    2) Change to a bigger CC’s engine 1.8-litre straight-4 MR18DE (manual, off course)
    3) Turbocharge your car with ZPI Racing Turbo Kit

If you are talking about the correct rim and tyre size for good performance, i would suggest u get a set of OZ, ENKEI 15″inch rims, couple with 195/50/R15 high performance tyres (but it burns out quickly…)
Trust me those performance tyres do give u a better lap time (have tested in track) as compare to those 2nd grade brands.

Personally i would go for 17″inch and 205/45/R17 tyres, because i believe cosmetic wise it looks great with your impul body kits :)

    Enjoy your ride !

yup, Tiida is a good hatch with lots of potential for mods (styling, performance).

it’s good to have a pair of light wheels such as OZ, put them on the scale, and u should know the differences :)

    hey
in your response to david’s question concerning modifying his latio’s performance you said do not instal a straight flow exhaust system. why is this? i am considering getting this car and upgrading the intake and the exhaust was first on my list. will this negatively impact my car’s performance?
